EMPOWERING LEADERS
Foundations for Leadership is dedicated to building the skills young people need to succeed in school, thrive in their careers, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
What is Model UN?
Dynamic Learning
Model United Nations (Model UN) is an engaging, hands-on opportunity for students to explore global issues and find solutions. By stepping into the roles of diplomats and world leaders, students debate international policies, negotiate with allies and adversaries, resolve conflicts, draft resolutions, and navigate formal procedures—all with the goal of fostering cooperation to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges
Life & Leadership Skills
Model UN is more than just a simulation—it’s a transformative experience that equips students with skills they’ll use for life. Participants sharpen their abilities in research, news literacy, critical thinking, public speaking, persuasive debate, diplomatic negotiation, and cultural awareness. By learning about real-world policies and global development strategies, students gain the confidence and knowledge to become changemakers at the local, national, and international levels.

Skills Building
Model UN meets Florida Department of Education Standards for Social Studies, History, and English Language Arts. It integrates every standard in the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework.

Our resources bring Model UN into the classroom and help you prepare for a conference.

Model UN Conferences
More than 2,000 middle and high school students from dozens of schools across Florida join us every year for debate and diplomacy.

We partner with Miami-Dade and Pinellas County Schools, and local colleges and universities to host Model UN conferences in Miami and Clearwater.

Community Engagement
Volunteering to staff Model UN conferences is more than just lending a helping hand—it's an opportunity to shape the leaders of tomorrow.

Students who attend local colleges and universities play a pivotal role in creating a dynamic and educational experience for delegates.
